Proof

How ProofAware proof works.

Every finished training comes with a signed certificate. Anyone can check it - and nobody can quietly change it.

In one minute

A certificate for every completion

Name, course, version and date, signed when the training is finished.

A public page to check it

Share a link or a code. The page opens without a login and without access to your account.

Records that can't be edited afterwards

Published course versions stay locked. A change creates a new version.

What the check shows, and what it doesn't

Shows

  • Name
  • Course
  • Course version
  • Completion date
  • Workspace

Never shows

  • Quiz scores
  • Email address
  • Other employees

Verify a certificate

Paste the code from the certificate. You will leave this site and open the ProofAware verification page.

You'll be taken to the ProofAware verification page.

For technical readers and auditors

Each certificate carries an HMAC-SHA256 signature computed by ProofAware's servers over the completion, the person, the exact course version and the completion time. The signing key stays with ProofAware, so an organisation can't create or alter certificates itself. Published course versions can't be edited - changes create a new version - and content views are recorded.

What it proves - and what it doesn't

It shows that ProofAware recorded this person's completion of this course version at this time.

It does not show that your organisation satisfies a framework. Your auditor decides.

For auditors

Ask the customer for the export of the assignment, the verification links, and, if you need it, an auditor login.

  • Take the CSV or PDF export for the training campaign.
  • Open a sample of verification links on the public page.
  • An auditor login is read-only and focused on audit and reports.

Privacy of the public page

The page shows the learner's name, the course, the course version and the completion date. It does not show quiz scores, email addresses, or anyone else in the Workspace.

Questions about proof

Yes. The public page does not need a login.

No. Published course versions can't be edited, and ProofAware signs the record on its own servers.

The verification page says the certificate is not valid.

No. ProofAware records the training. Your auditor decides what the record satisfies.
