This website presents ProofAware and lets visitors request a demo or access the existing application at web.proofaware.com. Demo and contact requests are sent by email. We do not run a newsletter.

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide so we can respond to your request. This may include your name, email address, company, and the content of your message.

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Server log data (such as IP address, date and time of access, and pages visited) may be processed by Cloudflare to deliver the website. Cloudflare processes data in accordance with its privacy policy. We do not separately store server access logs beyond what Cloudflare retains operationally.

We use PostHog for privacy-friendly, aggregate website analytics (for example page views and clicks on calls-to-action) to understand traffic and improve the site. PostHog runs on EU Cloud infrastructure (data processed in the European Union) and acts as our processor under a data processing agreement.

Our analytics is cookieless: it sets no cookies and stores no information on your device (PostHog runs with in-memory persistence, with autocapture and session recording disabled). Because no information is stored on or read from your device, the consent requirement (Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive / Section 25 TDDDG) does not apply and no cookie banner is needed. We collect no personal data through analytics - no names, email addresses, or account identifiers - and visitor IP addresses are discarded and not stored, so we cannot identify individual visitors.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in measuring and improving the website with privacy-preserving analytics. Events stay in PostHog EU Cloud only as long as needed for that purpose. You may object by emailing hello@proofaware.com (Art. 21 GDPR).

The application at web.proofaware.com is operated in the EU. In addition to Cloudflare (this website) we use:

• Hetzner / Dokploy — compute, database, object storage (Germany / EU)
• Resend — transactional email
• PostHog EU Cloud — product analytics and feature flags
• Sentry (de.sentry.io) — error monitoring
• Better Stack — uptime / heartbeats
• Inngest Cloud — background jobs

Microsoft Entra is used only if a customer connects it. Paddle is not a current processor. There is no live checkout. Where we process employee training records for a business customer, the customer is the controller and we are the processor.

Under the GDPR, you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.
